2019 Potential and History of Turkey-Portugal Foreign Trade

Turkey has performed very well performance since 2002 by increasing export and import scores. The foreign trade between Portugal and Turkey has not an important role in their both economies, although these states have been trying to increase their foreign trades that. Also it is thought that foreign trade between these countries have potential to increase. In this research we aimed to investigate the exports and imports potentials between Turkey and Portugal. To this aim we obtained the data used in the analysis was obtained from Worldbank, TUİK and from several other sources and analyse them. We reached that foreign trade between Turkey and Portugal is increasing. The volume of foreign countries between two countries has been higher than 1 billion US dollars since 2011 Motor vehicles and Engines, Iron and Steel main industrial products, textile spinning and weaving are the most important export items of Turkey to Portugal. Paper and paper products, main chemicals, TV and radio receivers are important export items for Portugal.

2018 Reasons to Choose Economics Education in Turkey And Portugal

It is one of the most important decisions for students to choose their education branch. Economics has been one of the most popular science branches since Adam Smith. There are many reasons to choose economic education in universities for students. The aim of this research is to investigate reasons to choose economics and compare these reasons for Turkey and Portugal. To this aim we conducted a survey on students of Kastamonu University economics department, Turkey, and also ask academicians in University of Beira Interior, Portugal, about these reasons. It is revealed that motivations to choose economic education in Turkey differ from motivations of Portuguese students in some aspects. Also, we found some similarities between these motivations.
